check in was super easy, love that it was self service. my room had a sick view of arthur's seat, and the bed linen was really soft n comfy. the location is pretty chill, away from all the city noise but close enough to walk there in like 30 mins. also, the bathroom was modern, which is a plus!

Easy access to public transportation, proximity to Arthur's Seat, user-friendly check-in process
The rooms exhibited poor heating options!!! Low water pressure in showers is quite disappointing!!! Attention to cleanliness needs to improve, especially with hair and dusty surfaces!!!

Perfect for a couple getaway
The room was spacious and clean, even had a beautiful view of the mountains which was a nice surprise. Every morning we woke up, the housekeeper made sure we had fresh coffee and tea waiting for us, a small touch but made the mornings so much better.
It wasn't cheap but I guess you pay for the quality, right?

Our stay at Allison House was delightful. Comfortable beds ensured restful nights, and the location provided easy access to Edinburgh's charm. Though the room felt a bit cramped, the self-service aspect made check-in a breeze. A minor downside involved some noise from other guests, which could be a concern for light sleepers.
